Meet One of Our Patriots
The gaps in our Patriot families' care
Our Patriots (active duty military, law enforcement, firefighters, first responders and disaster relief workers) are faced with frequent relocations and remote deployments on short notice which create unique caregiving challenges. While there are resources for veterans and active-service members, few programs directly address the complex realities of care for their dependents especially on short notice or for temporary needs.
The result? Service members worrying from thousands of miles away or faced with the need to pass over career advancement opportunities or even resign from their work prematurely.

The Patriots Care Fund is committed to providing immediate and effective support to the families of those who serve our country, ensuring no patriot family faces caregiving challenges alone. Our mission is to bridge the gap between the sacrifices our patriots make and the care their families deserve, delivering meaningful assistance when and where it's needed most.

Meet Dr.Wendy — The Heart Behind the Mission
As an Air Force flight surgeon and critical care air transport team physician lead, Dr. Wendy Tong witnessed firsthand the sudden deployments that leave service members scrambling to arrange care for their dependent loved ones. Dr. Wendy's empathy for disaster relief workers comes from her tenure as the Regional Medical Director for the Louisiana Hurricane Katrina/ Rita disaster relief in 2005 for which she was awarded the President's Volunteer Service Award. This perspective became deeply personal when her own father sustained a traumatic brain injury, forcing her to rely on 24-hour nursing care so that she could continue working abroad. Realizing the critical need for care among working families with dependents, Dr. Tong founded the Patriots Care Fund to honor and give back to all who serve our country.

Each donation contributes to a Patriot family.
